I am doing the interior and was wondering who has taken apart their e brake handle/boot?

I can get the plastic cover off...but how does the handle leather remove to remove the lever boot itself.

Any tips or pictures would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't tried that, but when redoing the entire interior of my 328 I simply removed the cover and dyed the cover and handle leather black (dyed the handle itself in place when the carpets were out). Looks fine, now (it was the light tan color, originally). For everything that I wanted to redo in black, including the handbrake cover and console bits (everything that could be removed from the car), I used rattle can black dye, which I got from World Upholstery in SoCal. I also replaced the tan/brown carpet with red Wilton wool, and redid the door panels using a darker tan dye for the leather upper part, and black for the door pulls and pockets. The new seats are likewise a darker (saddle) tan leather. I also redid other stuff as well, but you get the idea.

    Cheers, and good luck-

On my 308, the ebrake boot is stitched to the center console cover. To remove the cover, one first has to remove the center console and of course disconnect the slide controls and remove all the switches. With the center console removed from the car, the outer cover and integral ebrake boot can be peeled off the padded fiberglass console.
