Guys, I have tried to a search for a similar problem, however I haven't come across anything and am hoping you can help. Earlier today, I changed the plugs on my 86 328. I started her and she ran well after the plug change. Then I opened the air filter to see what shape it was in, at this point, I decided to start the car to see how she would run with the filter out. I did not put the air filter compartment back together and just started the car. It started fine and ran well for a few minutes while I was revving her, and then she died. When I turned the key in order to try restart her, I noticed the fuel pump was not coming on, and also the 'Fasten Seat Belts' light was not on. Obviously she cranked but did not start up. I then dug further into the fusepanel, and turns out I now do not have power to a number of my fuses. From what I can tell, I dont have 12v to a number of the fuses on the left side of the panel. Any thoughts or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Where would this relay be located, and would it also control the power for the window motors, as I also do not have any power to them as well.
Relays in passenger dash. But first order of the day is an Owner's Manual which holds all these secrets. ________________________ http://www.FerrariWiring.com Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Everything you need here to step by step diagnose and repair fuel pump issues in the 328. Pictures, wire diagrams, location of connectors , which relays you can swap etc: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=164315 or http://tinyurl.com/2eot8rq
Relay u in the figure Paul posted. Yes. Not having the windows work when the key is "on" is another sign that relay u might be the trouble. You can remove relay u and install a jumper wire as shown in this jpeg between the terminal 30 contact and terminal 87 contact to simulate a "closed" relay u. If the windows work with the jumper in place, try a new relay u. If the windows still don't work, the trouble is futher upstream most likely: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Guys, Replaced the relay, and I am back up and running! Thanks again to all of you for your help. It's the collective minds of this forum that helps keep our Ferrari's on the road without the ridiculous Ferrari prices.
