    Hi all,

had a search but could not find easy solution for following problem on my 328:

when I close the rear lid (boot?), the 2 locks should catch at each side of the lid, but in my case it only catches on the left side.

I then try to gently push the lid on the other side but it doesn't help and I want to avoid a dent by overpushing it...

The lock itself sems to work when I enter a screwdriver when the lid is up, but it also looks dirty and does not catch as fast as the left one.

One Ferrari dealer had a look and told me I should replace the lock, the other one over the phone told me it was probably just an adjustment to do.

Also, the lid release cable seems to be very tight (on this, both told me it needed some 'lubrication')

Rear locks seem to be a bit hard to find but at least at allferrariparts.com, they had them in stock at 116 USD (+ shipping to Belgium...)

Anybody have had similar problem and any suggestions before I order the lock?

    Thanks and greetings from Brussels,
    Frank

I have exactly the same problem. I simply slam the lid down and it locks. Do not try to apply pressure when one side is locked or you will end up denting the bonnet (ask me how I know.. :( )

    ok here is how.....

-raise the engine lid up along with both of your arms at shoulder's length.
-put both the index and the middle fingers on the engine lid at approx 8 inches outside of your shoulder
    -slam it down "relatively firm".

that should work. otherwise, you might want to adjust the hinges. good luck.

This is a simple adjustment. There is a catch in the trunk that grabs a U-shaped bolt on the bonnet. Just adjust the nuts on the U shaped bolt to allow it to project a little further into the latch when the boot is closed. Might take a few tries to get it right. No biggie.
