Does anyone have any tips on replacing the front pads on a 1987 328?

I bought a set of Axis pads, but they did not have a wear sensor. I thought the sensor was a seperate unit that fit into the notch of the front pad. However upon inspecting the original pads the sensor is built into the friction material. I will be sourcing outher pads and plan to also get new rotors for the front. It looks like this will be an easy job once I get the correct parts. Gerry
