Hi I've just bought one of Guido's heavy duty handwired fuseboards for my 328 which looks great........ A very experienced Ferrari tech with an electrical background will fit when it arrives from Belgium but just wondered if anybody had fitted one to their car and had any experiences and or tips etc to share.

Guido provided very clear instructions which I'm sure will all make perfect sense but any info from anybody who has fitted one would be good to have as well.

I know some people have fitted heatshrink or rubber to the fuse holders but I don't believe it's essential.

    Thanks!

I dont know, I had the Ferrari dealership here in Torrance send my 89 fuse board out to get rebuilt, what a difference !! 33 year years and 100,000 miles before it needed to get fixed.

    Thank you

Please dont use heatshrink on the fuseholders. With eventualy heatbuilding the 2 connectors will be pressed together and brake the solderpoints. Use rubber that keeps soft (like the inner bicicle tyre)...in case you want to protect the fuseholders. Actualy there is no need for it as that fuseboard is well hidden.

Here is an other installation thread. Its for a mondial but 328 is the same procedure.

Other advise = it is not needed to solder the wires on the gold colored connector. Just press this connector on the wire with an adequat pince. Soldering I'm a bit afraid the liquid will start eating the copper wire in time
And tell your mecanic to cut the white plugs deep enough like on the pictures of this thread...
