Very few cars are ever built in August. No, could easily be July. 73651 is July and 74051 is Sept. Cars are not all built in order and like I said, very few ever in August.
The only dates I use are from Ferrari. Too much bad information otherwise. I have seen many wrong claims. I also have quite a few built out of order.
Absolutely: the majority of Italian factories was simply closed in August during those years, so almost no production. Rgds
What about Canadian cars ? Register them in your list or not ? The 328 was import directly from Italy or via USA ?
We have those too. It becomes a matter of how much information. I know everything about some and only that they were built for others.
Guys, thanks for the heads up. I belive this car is #73953. It has been in Europe for many years. It was sold new at Miller Motorcars in December of 1987. A nice Christmas present, I love it when new owners take possession in December. I have it in the registry with a build date of Sep 87, though I don't have an image of the US DOT build plate to verify. One of unique aspects of this car is the side lights, they were darkened at some point. There are four known cars to be in Europe: 1987 70249 70739 73953 1988.5 77028 As the creator of this thread I would prefer it to be US cars only, so no Canadian cars. I think it would be cool to start a Canadian 328 GTB thread. I'm being serious. Those are REALLY special cars. I don't know how Canadian cars were brought into Canada. How does Ferrari import the cars now? And since you asked about Canada, there are two known US 328 GTB in Canada and they're next to each other in sequence. Coincidence? 76585 (build date?, what's the last US car in Feb and the first in March?) 76617 Mar 88 -F
I have 76518 as a Feb 88 car. As far as I know it is still owned by a long time FChatter, who hasn't been around lately. I'll see if I can track him down. I'll put down 76585 as a March car. -F
Spotted by Bertrand this morning on the net, US GTB # 77028 for sale at official dealership Francorchamps Moteurs in Brussels, Belgium: Véhicules d'occasion in Wavre BE Rgds

That one has surfaced this morning in the french adds...I understand the car is already in France (i.e: not still in the U.S, but sold by a french importer who would set-up delivery here when sold). Almost no information except it is a 1986. Have tried to enquire for the VIN/Châssis number...but a black 1986 GTB with black leather does not leave so many possibilities. Unless it is not known to us already, but I don't believe this could be. https://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/1340288721.htm?ca=12_s
Ah, yes indeed; just like so many US cars that are advertised here these days, by "brokers", with a "full inclusive" package for delivery, that is all administrative hassle solved (I Wonder if they provide the "COC" (Certificate Of Conformity) also?) Rgds
I have a newly acquired May 88. #77490. Convex wheels, No ABS. Red/tan Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
