Hi Guys, Back in November I purchased a 328 1986 Rosso from Nick Cartwrights of Derbyshire, I notice on the original sales document that this had an aerofoil fitted, but a previous owner had this removed. I am trying to get the car as original as possible. My questions are. What does the aerofoil do? Are the easy to find, where from? Can these be fitted without going to a specialist? Also in addition to the above I have 2 No electric window switches that do not illuminate, can you change someform of bulb in these or do you have to replace the whole switch? Also where can I get the replace bulbs or switches. Your advice and assistance in the above would be greatly apprecated. Regards Ash,
What could be easier ! Their list show the aerofoil as a stock part but I'm not going to ruin your day with the price..... Otherwise breakers yards or similar
These guys are sponsors here and can ship you a roof spoiler for roughly $6-700 dollars. http://www.ferraripartsexchange.com/328bodypage.htm
Hi Ash, Congrats for your 328! The spoiler really has no downforce function, you know. It sort of 'canalises' and 'pushes' fresh air in the direction of the cooling loeuvres above the engine, so the actual engine bay, under the bonnet, doesn't get too hot! If I were you I wouldn't touch at the electric window switches! First of all, there's no place for a bulb in the switch. Second, installing illuminable switches that light up when you switch on your lights is not as easy as you think, unless you want them to be lighted all the time, also not recommendable! And those switches would have to fit exactly on the wiring, and in the holes that are left when the original switches are removed.... Just don't do it, you are asking for trouble! Thanks for the info I am going to buy and fit the areofoil in the new year. With regards to the window switches, I will investigate to get a exact match if this is not possible I will leave well alone. Regards Ash,
To fix the spoiler 2 small holes will have to be drilled on the upper side of the lid, careful it's quite over there! Good luck! Regards!
