The rubber footrest on my 1998 328 GTS (#77250) has come loose. I wonder if anyone can advise on the correct adhesive to use to reapply and how best to remove the old adhesive.

    Thanks in advance

    Use 3M Hi-Strength 90 spray adhesive.

Use sticky tape to remove dry adhesive from carpeting.

Heck! If it's coming loose, you're halfway there to installing an aluminum "dead pedal" / footrest!

I've got the opposite problem: Mine's quite well attached, and pulling it off seems to be no easy task!

Check out Paul Hill's (of Hill Engineering, FerrariChat sponsor) assortment of dead pedals here:

    Just one thought :).

I tried 2-way tape and it didn't hold. When I used contact cement it held perfectly. Oh, and go for the non-water based kind. I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I think it sucks.

I agree w/Mike...the 328 interior needs a little excitement...go with pedal and dead pedal kit...looks awesome

I've used "liquid nails" for securing various peices of carpet that have come loose in my 308, and current 328. Contact cement would be another good choice.
