Are any of you familiar witn this car for sale through a fellow F-chatter in FerrariAds.com? I see from other threads that Norwood Performance seem to be the choice shop for a PPI in the Dallas area. Would you consider purschainsg this car without a PPI, given that it is for sale by Norwood? I acknowledge that is both high mileage and an "off"color. I am looking for a "driver" 328 to import to Canada for my own use. I have not yet contacted the seller but plan to do so later in the week. http://www.ferrarichat.com/ferrariads/showproduct.php?product=936&sort=1&cat=11&page=1 Thanks Jon
DISCLAIMER: I think I know this car. There might be another high mile grigio/red 328 in the area, but I don't think so. If it's the car I think it is, then the following applies: It's well known locally, a doctor's been using it as a mostly daily driver for quite some time. It's regularly serviced at Norwoods. Usually when Norwoods services my car, they make notes about additional items of interest on the invoice. Check the records of this car for those notes. If James and his crew say it's a good car, then it's probably a good car. For that price, I'd buy it. Mine's the same year and color and has 87,000 miles, and it's still a great car.
Interesting how its a native Dallas car from new. Even purchased during when Classic BMW also had the Ferrari franchise!
I would echo Tillmans sentiments. I'm familiar with the car also, if only from a distance. I don't know the owner but we've been spotting and discussing this car for quite some time. I think the price is very reasonable, but I think I'd still pay for a PPI. The fact that it has a new clutch and recent major speaks volumes, that work alone is worth over $5k. Don't expect like new condition, it won't be, it's been well used and taken care of.
I am pretty sure this is the same car I have seen on the tollway a few times and once at Knox/Henderson. Older guy drives it...........
yeah I thought about it, but I need to sell a few things first as my cash seems to flow out and not in.
