Hello, Im new here from australia and wanted to seek some suggestions/opinions. I've been planning for months to buy this model on the next month and wanted your ideas/suggestions if its worth buying for. http://www.ozfreeonline.com/cars/info.php?id=290732 Please advise. thanks.
163770 miles are a bit too much, IMHO. I am nor a fanatic of low mileage, but I should look for something fresher. Ciao Eugenio
Way, way too many miles at 164,000 km's. Another $15k would get you into the best 328, so at their asking price it's also way too expensive. Big repair bills can't be too far off at that mileage. An engine rebuild is north of $25k for example. Keep looking and buy the best you can afford is my advice. BTW, 328's are great starter Ferraris.
I don't want to knock any Ferrari for sale too hard, but AUS spec 328's suffer the worst loss of performance compared to a UK, or HK/Japan car of any. In fact an import 308 QV and even a 2Vi are significantly faster. Build quality is still much better on any 328's over any 308's though (although still not perfect of course). Of course, even an AUS 328 is still a Ferrari, and not exactly slow, just don't expect too much. Also of course, imported 328's are generally a bit cheaper still, although the ask for this car is not silly.
My 328 GTS with 42km will be for sale shortly, come's with set of laugage, two spare wheels, one space saver, Spare parts catalogue.work shop manual. Wiring diagrams,Bosch K-jetronic manual, Bosch test box, with books, the car has just had a new clutch installed, cam belts and oil seals on cam shafts have just been done.
you know first thing after all this discussion on Fcar legitimacy that's gonna be asked is what records does it have...
All Records, sold new by Dixon, Delivery Date 1/07/88.12mth later the owner got a new testa, the 328 then came to scuds and was sold to friend, and was a garage Queen, and i got it in 2001
THIS 328 IS **** HOT, DONT MISS OUT ON BUYING THIS GEM. I KNOW THE CAR WELL, OWNED BY A FERRARI FANATIC, YOU WOULD SWEAR HE WAS BORN ITALY. I HEAR HE KNOWS HIS WAY AROUND PIPES AS WELL ANDREW
