Any thoughts on what has been successful for selling in the Seattle area? What have you guys had luck with, Times ad, FCA, consignment at FOS or Park Place, word of mouth?

I've got an 86, 28K mi, red/tan, major svcs & updates complete, documented, in great shape. I know your advice is don't sell! But it's time to do a little house hunting.

Afraid you're too late (or possibly early if they buy one a few years from now) They talked to a Financial Advisor or something and decided that as much as we would like a Ferrari right now it's just not going to work. $40,000 is just too much to spend. Something to get when they retire.

They're preparing to buy a sports car that I found for them in the $15,000 range. You guys will see it at the next meet. It's worth taking a look at ;)

I think your best bet is to start with the FCA newsletter, and word of mouth (like this chat board). From there, get all your service history paperwork in order, and have a realisitic price in mind for the car. I sold my 328 rather quickly back in December.

Thanks Dave, all docs ready, major & minor svcs, carfax, updates. Newsletter is a good idea, will probably get it advertised soon.

Assuming you received info on the car, I responded to your profile email address. If you didn't get the email let me know.

Probably the least expensive way, with the most exposure for advertising your Ferrari for sale, would be to list it on eBay Motors.

For a $40 listing fee, you get a HUGE amount of exposure for your car.

Maybe you won't sell it directly on eBay, but you probably will be able to make a deal with someone off line.

Thanks guys, those options will definitely get good coverage. I think I'll try the local route first and hopefully be able to deal direct, face to face with buyers, will see how demand is.

Also decided the put an ad in the Oregonian. I think I've got the NW fairly well covered, now just some more summer sun needed to find a motivated buyer.
