    All,

I'm doing an interior resto on my 87 328 and have it gutted all the way down to the handbrake handle. Initially, I thought I could just pull off the black grip and the leather cover would come off but It doesn't appear that's the case. Can someone that has done this before, give me some advice on this? Do I need to unbolt it from the floor to remove this? I feel like I'm missing a basic step to juts get the cover off.

    Thank you!

    Craig

It's not clear if you want to remove the leather surround, or the plastic handle cover, or the entire cover itself?

I'm trying to get the leather surround off so I can paint it. I was able to remove the plastic, pistol-grip end off but now I'm stuck on the leather cover. Hoepfully this pic will help. Thank you.

Your 87 handle has two holes at the wide end of the lever.

Your pictue shows two indents in the leather boot at the same area. Perhaps you need to unsnap some clips from the two holes before the boot slides up over the top
