    Pulled my handbrake up today and there is no resistance can anyone save me some time and effort in what it might be and where to start looking?

    Pretty much has to be the cable. Just trace it out

    It could already be engaged? Try pulling it up then pressing in the release button and dropping it. Then lift up and see if there is resistance.
