    Heee's baaaccck,

I knew once my air box stencil question was professionally answered that I'd find another more complicated one. I've owned my Fcar for one year (to the day) and never turned on the headlights .. only drive in the day. The prior owner, I suspect, never did the same (or seldom anyway). So yesterday in anticipation of a nighttime venture I turned them on .. well I attempted anyway. The lights popped up perfectly, the high beams worked great but NO low beams. Then I messed with the switch on the end of the stalk and low and behold .. light ! Another touch on the switch (the round knob) and no lights. Relay is working AOK. After confusing my cat by cycling the lights up and down a dozen times, the low beam seemed to come on as commanded and stay on. My diagnosis .. dirty contact in the switch from under-use. So my question to the FChat wizards: how difficult is it to clean the low beam contacts in the switch? (Oh yes, the whole assembly was replaced in 2004 so I'm hoping that is not the answer.)

Maybe just exercising it is the fix .. or never drive at night.

    Thanks.

    Robbie
