Does anyone have a rough idea (or might be willing to take a peek next time in the car) for how many inches are between the seat and the floor? I'm trying to get a better idea on how much headroom I could gain by the bolting seat to floor method.

Also, and I know I'm asking a lot, but how many inches is it from the floor to the ceiling with the top on? In my current car my hair barely touches and it's 36inches from the lowest point in the seat to the ceiling.

Thanks in advance for the info if anyone has it or is willing to take a look.

Different year 328's have different seat set ups. Having said that, in a late 328, you're going to gain approximately 1.3 inches.

This question has been coming up more and more lately.

I was very worried about fitting in a 3x8. But after a brief period of adjustment, I fit fine. I'm 6'4".

It takes a while to fit to a new car. I used to have trouble with rental cars ... especially those with very basic seat adjustments.

But I suspect that the cancerous over-growth of the average commuter box has made the shift to a "tailored" car all the more difficult an adjustment.

Kind of like trying to wear speedos after years in baggy pants. ;)

I noted in horror that my EVO is actually taller than a '70s Sedan de Ville. Cars are getting bigger and bigger. I suspect that declining driver confidence is leading to a competition to be the "bigger" vehicle in a crash.

    But I digress.

The point is that you might not have to modify the car to fit. You may only need to shift your perspective, rather than the hardware.
