    Searching the posts it looks like I need to remove the heat shield next to the firewall to get to the bolts for the rear shelf and the interior curved piece just below the rear window. Can somone give me a detailed procedure for removing the shield. Also if I am only removing the rear shelf and the curved piece below the rear window it is my understanding that I do not need to remove the windows to access these pieces. Is this correct.

    Paul Newman up in Toronto did a pretty thorough work up of of bunch of pieces like this. Search the archives. If pics have been lost, you might shoot him an email. I have not seen him post for a while, but if you can track him down, I am sure he has pics and instructions for how to do what you are seeking -- it was a comprehensive strip to metal.
