I just bought an '86 328 from Lamborghini Dallas (found it in the ads on this site!). It previously belonged to Yoshi, who I was told frequents this site.

Anyway, the car does not have the jack or tool kit with it (including the lug wrench). Can someone recommend a source for these (other than a Ferrari dealership), and what the approximate cost might be?

    Thanks,
    Brian

You might try our sponsor Ferrari UK, they seem to consistently beat the FNA dealer for oem Ferrari parts and accessories...and you get the authentic stuff.

Recently an incomplete tool kit-missing the pliars and a wrench-went for over $200 on e-bay. I myself have been looking for the pliars which are missing from my kit for two years. A pair went for over $100 on e-bay about a year ago.

I think your best bet is ebay. Ferrari UK may be OK as well. You will get raped going to a dealer. When you find one please email and I can tell you exactly everything that should be in it. Also I can help with all the books that came with car. An extra bonus would be if it had the original key fob- very rare- I paid $100 for it on ebay and have never seen another one offered.

Here's the deal. Ferrari of UK has complete 328 tool "rolls". On eBay they go for $200 to $400. Ferrari UK sells them for around $350 new last I checked.

The other one is much harder to find. It's called a "Jack Kit," or an "Emergency Kit" or a "Tire Changing Kit" and includes jack, lug wrench, spare belts, spare fuse / bulb container, spare spark plugs, ratchet, ratchet bar, battery cable... Ferrari of UK does NOT have these jack kits in their entirety (though they do have parts from them).

They do come up on ebay from time to time... Last I saw for $400 or so. Watch out for getting a mondial one vs. a 328 one, though they're basically the same thing.

I recently purchased one from eBay, $200--but that was a bona fide steal.

Congrats on the 328. I spoke with Jonathan at Lambo Dallas about it, really nice guy, and I was considering the car... I just decided to do private party.

    Happy motoring!

You have a great car in your hand now. Enjoy. By the way, where do you live? (just want to know where my ex-car is at) Don't forget to register your car under your name at 328 Registry at this site!

BTW, tools were inside the front trunk before, but I never used nor checked them out. They were in rolled black bag. I will check my garage, as I may have it if Lambo Dallas doesn't. Since they didn't let me know of tools, this was news to me.

I just found this thread, and sorry to inconvenience you. Will let you know my search result by tommorow afternoon.

    Alan,
I didn't notice that I had the tools in my garage. I just assumed they were inside the trunk of 328.

E-bay is not my thing, but I could list it at FerrariAds.com! (just kidding!!)

    Darn! Good move!

The one's in my #2 car look brand new, the one's in my #1 car look like they were recovered from the Titanic, oh well.

That's the same roll as the 308, with the addition of the little carb tool.

What kind of a tool kit doesn't have a hammer, anyway????? lol

My TR's jack bag has a hammer (a well-used one at that) -- is Ferrari trying to tell us something about those cars? :D

My car came with both the tools, and books. After seeing how much some of these things were going for on E-bay, I promptly removed them from the car into storage, and replaced with a "regular" set of tools from sears/home depot, and a photocopy of the manuals.

Is there anywhere I can get a list of all the tools that should be provided with a UK 308GTB QV. I'm curious wether the one I am looking at has a complete tool set.

    Thanks

Thanks! It's not too bad really, just sorry it happened! :(

I have two '77s now so I have two of all the books! And twice the headaches also!

It looks like Fred Petroske has an original one, used, for sale.

I've got a big list working for you guys!

Right now I need a clock, a sun visor with snap, and all those knurled air cleaner nuts that keep spinning off!!!! :)

Oh, and the rubber boots that go on the top of the coils...... (2 req'd.)
