Adjustment knob was missing, so I pulled the knob off a BMW switch (BMW Mirror Control Switch 61311369331, off ebay $24). Pulls right off, and while it wasn't a direct fit, cutting the stalk down after widening and deepening the stalk hole (into which the F switch post slides) with I think a 5/64 or 3/32 bit, it friction-fits securely and works perfect! Exact same knob. (The selector is same as well, but probably harder to fit to the F switch post due to smaller size).

Thanks for posting this. I’m missing the same piece. Hoping someone will know how to get a match, but if not, I’ll try your solution.

You mean a whole replacement switch? There are threads about the switch, but as I recall the F switch is NLA...or maybe one thread from years back referenced one source for something like $1500 or something crazy. If you're not handy and have no other choice than the BMW knob route, shoot me a message.

No, not needing the switch, just the knob. My switch currently looks like your first picture. I’ll see if anyone else responds to this thread, but if not, I’ll be reaching out about the BMW knob route. Thanks.

I also replaced the knob this way, though the BMW switch 61311369331 I got on eBay ($16 shipped) had a slightly different knob. After trimming the backside and stepping up through drill bits to a 5/32" hole, it fits on snug and looks great. Can't beat the price for this fix, and since the original mirror controls were BMW parts, it's about as authentic as you'll get. Sure beats paying $$$ for a 3D printed part that looks a little janky.

I'm bringing this thread back up because I spotted a 328 mirror adjustment switch for sale on ebay.co.uk, for £1000, with a claim that "Ferrari # 61803100. NLA From Ferrari", and: "VERY VERY RARE"

The reality is (for now at least - As is always the case, the supply of Ferrari parts changes with time), the 328 door mirror switch is available from Ferrari, and it's nowhere near a £1000 (or $1500) part (they're still not cheap switches!):

    https://www.ferrariparts.co.uk/part/ferrari/61803100-a?id=437917 - @ £422/$538 with tax

Eurospares also have the switch available for much less than £1000 (or $1500) : https://www.eurospares.com/Search?SearchID=E8AD9034-DB88-471A-81AE-5852F2684012 (strangely, Eurospares show two different prices for the same part number (61803100) on that page: £371.70 and £552.82  )

The point is, yet again, always do some homework, double check parts supply before you buy something, and don't automatically believe an advert that declares something is "rare", or even "no longer available", because some sellers are hoping you wont bother checking, and will buy their more expensive part (there's a possibility that the seller actually bought their part from the cheaper supplier, to sell on at a higher price)

Also, in the case with Eurospares, keep an eye open for two different prices for the same part number, check they're exactly the same part (both are new - Not one new, and one used), and if they are exactly the same, make sure you order the cheaper one.
