328/Mondial - Transfer Case Oil source?

    Hi,
    i have read a lot of 328 gear box oil change threads, where they use the transfer case filling to fill both, the transfer case AND the gear box case.

    Thats a clear indication that the transfer case "cascades" to the gear box... so good so far.

    So my question is: if there is a "hole" for that cascade, and oils goes that way, is there a return line (from the pump) from the gear box to the transfer case? or oil never go back?

    I'm not inventing anything, just wandering how its made....

    if memory serves me , filling thru top of the transfer case was an accepted factory procedure.
    fill thru the top of the transfer case until oil drips from the fill plug (down lower) on the gearcase.
    to keep transfers clean, i always fixed a transmission funnel and its hose into the top of the transfer
    case. keep the funnel higher than the transfer case. a flexible hose is indicated in this application.

    we used to use Redline 80w-90 gear oil.

    There are 2 large holes connecting the 2. When the engine is running the interior of the transmission looks like a blender inside.
    Factory trained, been hands on in Ferrari business over 40 years. Never heard of filling through transfer case fill plug untiI I read do it yourselfers on F Chat. Fixing cars on the clock we dont waste time like that. To call it the slow hard way is a very big understatement.

    Ok but if oil can get out from TC to GB... Can it get back from GB to TC??
