328 muffler color

please what's the original color of the muffler for 328 1987 (europe no catalysed)?

I can't address your question directly but I can tell you the color of my '79 308GTB, in full Standard Specification, muffler. Most stainless with a little age on it is this color. It's stainless steel silver-brown. See below:

The original colour is light silver, this one is a bit dirty but you can see the colour, hope this helps.

Uhhhh, it isn't painted. No number. It's raw stainless steel. Just try cleaning it with ScotchBrite and WD40. That's how I keep the one in the picture above (silver car), in presentable shape.

it is an abrasive product. Perhaps a porous plastic sponge-like material with abrasive attached. Made by 3M. http://www.3m.com/us/home_leisure/scotchbrite/NatlSmartSweeps/
