    Was out yesterday and noticed that the driver side control didn't shift the flow from the windshield vents to the floor vents when the control indicated it should. Pass side worked properly.

    The controls seem to work OK - lights light up as the rocker switches are moved and there is a reduction in the airflow at the driver side windshield when the control/lights move to the floor position. But there is no substantial flow from the floor vent itself when, per the controls, ALL the air should be from the floor vent. I checked to be sure the floor vent is open! ;) When the control is in the windshield position, there is good flow from the windshield vent.

    I've never looked at the heating system so am not sure where I should be looking. Obviously, the door or flap or whatever it is that controls the air direction is not moving properly. Where is that located? I suppose it could simply be something obstructing the ducting to the floor vent but I don't know what that could be...

    Appreciate any thoughts/guidance!

    i believe there is a control motor for the system attached to the left and right heater box, get someone to listen/feel if it moves while you press the control switch in centre console. its a starting point, and easy to get to

    Have you confirmed - at the blower itself - that both blower motors are running?

    Diverter Motor (item 53) here is what moves the flap in the duct:

    Probably accessed under the front spare tire tub or some cover, but don't know that for sure. However, plenty of other things to go wrong with the flap itself, or electrically, so needs investigation. If no obvious mechanical problem with the flap, I'd suggest swapping the two diverter motors to see if the the problem moves to the other side (justifies buying a new diverter motor or fixing your old one), or not (more likely something electrical).

    Thanks guys - did a bunch of testing today -both blowers and diverters work fine but the amount of diverted flow does not agree with the indicator lights on the driver side. When I continued to press the rocker button a couple of times after it indicated full floor output (but had no actual output), the floor output went to full on. So the motors/diverters are working correctly but the rocker switch indicator lights do not agree with the actual airflow. I suspect there is some sort of adjustment... ?

    I replaced both my diverter motors,( the shop did ) right about the same time, I came across a diagram of the system, its pretty clear showing all the moving parts, I think there is an airbox that has a flap inside it that moves the air from the top to the bottom , one for each side . Talk to Rifledriver, he can tell you how to fix it . It cant be that hard to repair . On another note, I had a problem with the left rocker switch not moving the LEDs, this after I replaced both motors, turned out I had to rebuild the fuse board, for other issues, but once that was done, my rocker switch started working again. Hope you get it sorted.Oh yes, there is a paper out there showing how to adjust the rocker switches , somebody sent it to me years ago. I dont remember who, but they are adjustable. If I can find it, I will send it to you .Those switches are impossible to find, well, I shouldnt say that , there are some on ebay that are so expensive. Im lucky , I have 3 sets of them just in case .

    Thanks Paul! I figured there was some sort of adjustment procedure. Do the heater controls just lift out of the console or is there some other procedure for removing them to get access to the potentiometers? I've had the console out some years ago but didn't pay any attention to how the control modules were held in place.
