When charging the battery should I disconnect it first if using a regular charger (not a battery tender)? Maybe just the positive terminal?

Do I risk anything going funny if I disconnect it?

Does anyone per chance know an on-line store in Europe where I could get the UFI oil filter and air filter for the 328? Can't locate them anywhere in Poland.

    Thanks

I would try contacting UFI directly for a source near you.

As to charging, if your terminals are properly connected I see no reason why you should disconnect the lines. You could if it makes you happier.

After you charge it put a teder on it. It will boil over if you leave a charger on it.

The safe way to charge is to disconnect the negative cable from the battery first then connect the charger. This way you cannot harm anything in the car if the charger cables are miss-connected or if you get an overvoltage. Further working only with the negative cable you are less likely to create a short with the tools.

    Przemek,

Your 328 should have a negative terminal disconnect on it already. With the front hatch open, look on the driver's side near the radiator. I always disconnect when charging the battery. With a battery tender it's not necessary.

    Cheers, Mark
