Cars with high starting bids like this one sometimes fail to command interest. Most Ebayers also want a steal and this car seems to be priced at market value. The car itself seems fine if the owner is being honest.....Thats a big if that should be verified by way of a PPI. Just my .2 cents.

The car looks like it is priced fairly if it is in excellent shape. EBay is mainly used to garner interest in a car, but the purchase process usually takes so long with a Ferrari that the deal is completed later. If you are serious about the car, I'm sure there are enough F-Chatters in the area who could look at the car for you and let you know what they think about it.

The red painted rocker panels and valances do give me some concern. The black beltline is still intact and I don't see any obvious evidence of overspray in the bonnet shot, but I would still be looking extremely carefully for prior accident damage. Also the seller history is a little shakey. Most of his sales are $5 information on how to become an eBay power seller or low quality rings. The car was for sale in July, and the seller at that time said he had a collection of 12 cars, so why dabble in the low dollar auction market?

This car has been on the market for at least six months, so maybe the seller has finally decided to lower his price to something reasonable. However, a nothing will substitute for a personal inspection and a PPI. If everything checks out as perfect, the price is good.

Here's a thought: put a link to this thread on the South Central forum. There is at least one FChatter who lives in Athens; maybe you can have him investigate the car for you.

Bandit made some good points...I would add that the passenger door map pocket return spring is broken, the spare tire hold down nut is missing, as is the trunk zippered cover. There's about $800 in deductions to correct all that with the correct factory parts...maybe more. The paint on the lower rockers turns me off too, as it is not factory correct, and I don't care for the look either. The engine compartment is very dirty, and the airbox lettering is worn off (theres another $300 to fix). There is no mention, or pictures of the jack and tool kit, trouble light, etc. (or for that matter, the owner's manual packet).

As others stated, this is top dollar, and the car better have all services completed to garner that much money. To me, it looks rather "average", rather than "exceptional" in condition...but I'm picky.
