Looks fantastic! Seeing the difference in your before an after photos has inspired me to do some detailing this weekend.

I like to know how long that lasts before the washing, wiping, waxing, and whatever else brings it all back.

I had it done to mine when I got it. Same deal, years of amateur detailing.

The answer is that if you wash and wipe the right way you won't get scratches like that. Some hairlines are inevitable, but from the before/after this looks like a job well done - should last a long time.

Great job. It's amazing what I good polish job will do to get rid of many of the fine towel marks. Since you are removing paint when you polish, the results are permanent. For the deeper scratches that would remove to much paint, the wax will help cover them up. Of course the wax will only last about 3 months so that needs to be redone from time to time. I gave my car a good polish job soon after I got it and removed about 80% of the scratches/swirl marks. By using the soft micro-fibre towels I have keep any new swirl marks to the minimum.

    Couple of questions:

Did you remove the Ferrari script on the rear deck or did you work around it?

What polish/wax products did you use?

    Thanks,

We did remove the script, made life much easier, I believe the products they were using were from Menzerna, but I don't which specific items

As mark has said , we did remove the script , we did the paint correction using menzerna power gloss , intensive polish then "FA" final polish , followed all that up with a zymol royale application to protect the finish,
    hope that helps

Thanks for the info. On Euro cars, is the script held in place with lock washers around the two pins? Did you work the washers off with a screwdriver then push the pins through the holes in the deck? I am planning on removing the script and I definitely don't want to bend or break it.
