Can anyone help me find a place to buy a new power antenna with a black mast that will work with my stock antenna switch so I can control how high it extends and retracts. I don't want one that goes up everytime I turn on the radio.

    Thanks for any input.

I replaced my 308 antenna with a generic power antenna using the console switch, and I can raise it as far as I want. However, the telescoping tubes are chrome. I have never seen a black telescoping tube retractable antenna. I suppose you could purchase the chrome version and have it zinc oxided....

Even though it's cross country for you, Gary at Goodman Radio is helping me get a correct antenna for my 246.

He's a Ferrari nut! He'll help if he can. Give him a call 610-525-2836

I wanted black mast also, and used a metra 44-pw22b (google for pw22 for other brand names the thing is sold under. The 'b' is black mast).

It is a semi-automatic antenna, so you have to modify/simplify the wiring....as in, chop off the relay and connect to the motor directly. Search the archives for more info.

You can probably get the $50 cheaper harada unit and replace the mast with a black one.

Thank you guy's. If you've seen my latest post, I think I will be making it run again before I replace the antenna. I should order the antenna and it should be here after I've fixed my fuel pump problem or I can sit in the garage and listen to the radio and make vroom vroom noises. Wait that's Mazda Sorry!
