While I have a number of cars, all have been purchased new and none are Ferrari. So the 328 GTS I am thinking about buying is not only my first Ferrari, but my first used car purchase.

I tried to see whether there was a document or guideline on this website as to the things to be examined, but didn't find much.

Can someone direct to where I might get a detailed overview of what a 328 PPI would involve?

A good PPI will include MOST IMPORTANTLY a leakdown and compression test. Also many more basic checks such as paint condition (has it been repainted and if so, how well?), tire condition (do the tires show uneven wear indicating a front end and/or allignment problem?), AC function, brakes, electrical components and functions, oil leaks, possible prior accidents, hidden rust, etc. These cars were/are easy to disconnect the odometers on, so be sure the amount of wear and tear matches the mileage on the car. MAKE SURE THAT IT HAS SERVICE RECORDS!!!
