I have checked out the archives and been following a couple of decent write ups on the procedure, but on my car there are a number of points where the instructions dont 'line up' with what I am seeing on my car

    328 GTS - 1986 RHD UK Model.

I've removed everything now from the front of the car to allow me to remove the radiator but it wont budge with gentle pressure. Questions are:

Is the radiator bolted to the car on the bottom brackets. It would appear to just sit in the u-shaped brackets. I've checked around them by hand and I cannot feel (or see) any bolts that attach the brackets or the radiator to the car. Is this correct or am I missing something as suggested by one write up.

The top brackets - I've removed the centre nut from each of the two top brackets as well as the two bolts in each that attach these brackets to the bodywork - but as the centre bolt is orinetated so the head is tight against the bodywork there would appear to be no way of removing the top brackets correctly - is this a problem to removing the rad.

Finally, I would prefer not to take off the whole front valance as suggested by some - on y car I cannot see what this gives me as an advantage and I dont want to to disturb it unless there is no other way?

Grateful for any advice from anyone who has had one of these out of the car

    Caterham:

Attached is a photo of the 328 radiator…you will clearly see that there are two lower brackets on the engine side of the radiator…did you disconnect it here?

    good luck,

So that looks slightly different to my radiator (which has Ferrari embossed on it). Your photo is 'upside down' in relation to the orientation in my car. The two brackets shown at the bottom edge of the radiator in your photo are those at the top of my radiator which I have undone. The problem is the 'bottom of the radiator which looking at your photo doesnt appear to have any brackets or bolt conections.

Caterham7 is correct. The brass fitting is a bleeder in the above photo. The screw in port at the bottom is the fan switch. On LHD cars I have worked on there are no lower fasteners. Just the two top rubber and tube connections. It could just be stuck due to time.

So the bleeder is at the top of the radiator?

Need to get out the lump hammer :). Thanks for the replies, just wanted to make sure I was not pushing when there was a hidden bolt somewhere.
