Thanks for following up, no rush for me.
No rush at all for me either. If I haven't heard, I'll try again in another week or so to see if there's any update....
I’m guessing he’s forging his own steel and fabricating his own vinyl.
I'll just glance back at post #3.
Last I heard from him (11/21/18), he was having trouble sourcing material for the back bracket that was 100% OEM correct, as requested by someone on this thread. I will check back in to see whether eliminating that issue will help to move this along. Personally, I don't care whether the back bracket material is OEM correct -- my focus is on the vinyl piece that is "front and center" in the console.... Will report what I hear back from him (if I hear back from him!).
I tried him a couple times as well. No response.
Nothing. I’ve emailed him four times since mid November with no response. Oh well. If he surfaces, great. If not, I’m fine with my radio as is. It’s the original Alpine installed by the dealer at delivery. I understand we’re not high on his priority list, but a simple response would have nice, even to say he can’t do it. I did wonder if something had happened to him, which would be awful, but I do see he is still active on eBay.
No response on this end either. I asked him to let me know either way and thanked him for his time (and said we would understand if he was too busy, just let us know), but heard nothing back. We have definitely lost him; I hope he's ok....
In any case, back to the drawing board! At least we have all of the dimensions in case one of us finds another possible source.... Anyone else have a lead?
I think we can close the case on dealing with this guy too.
What EXACTLY DO YOU GUYS NEED?
I'll try to help.
I have both a 308 and 328 OEM plate laying around. Nope. Sorry, Not for Sale.
The covering on the one he sent me is pretty much indistinguishable to my eyes from an original I have laying around so the material IS OUT THERE.
I'll post a pic later.
Some high res detailed images of the 328 plate would be great.
Will do tomorrow nite.
Would still love to see a few detailed pics of your 338 plate. Thanks.
Shot “roboheros” another email just now to see if I could resurrect the idea of having some radio delete plates made. The guy just up and vanished after clearly indicating that he would do it. His store is active on eBay. We’ll see if I get a response.
I acquired a large lot of Ferrari parts a few months ago and just came across these. I don't know what they fit or if they are relevant to the discussion. If you know please drop me a line, thanks.

Like the guy who was going to produce "slow down light' modules that never materialized and the Fabspeed claim of soon (several years ago) to be producing a 3x8 muffler that would produce 30+ more HP than OEM!
The slow down light module build claim was at least technically possible; the Fabspeed claim...well, I've got perpetual motion machine plans that I'll sell cheap; also some bridges in Brooklyn...
YES, they are relevant AND a small Gold Mine' there.
I forgot and will post grain 'close-ups.'
And the dimensions please.
I'm guessing around 188mm x 64mm.
