I have reinstalled my rear bonnet but am playing this back and forth game trying to get it align properly so that the spacing between the deck bonnet and the rear and side quarter panels line up equally.

Is there a trick to this or is it, as I am doing, trial and error?

Look for two small alignment holes (5 mm diameter?) on each side in the same area where the mounting bolts (that go thru the hinge arm and the bonnet) -- the idea is to insert pins/dowels/drill bit/etc. in these holes of both parts -- see Verell's post here:

And please report if these "alignment holes" are present, or not, on your 328-- I know my ex-308 had them, but not 100% sure they used them on 328 (but I'd be surprised if they didn't do the same thing).

Thanks Steve. I will take a look and make the appropriate adjustments.

The funny thing is I tried an extensive search on this subject prior to posting my question and I think the thread you pointed out is the only one I didn't find/read/see.

Thanks again, you saved me from exposing the neighbor kids to any "new" words.

It is nice that it only takes 15 minutes from start to finish when you know what you are doing. Yes there are 4 alignment holes approximately 5/32 in diameter. A couple of small screw drivers and drill bits and it lines up perfectly.

Now I still have my Saturday to mow, trim bushes, etc....

    Many thanks.

No trouble -- thanks for confirming that they stayed with this "good idea" on 328.

Another tech question answered expeditiously by Steve Magnusson.

The "good idea" Ferrari should have stayed with was the quick release system on the fiberglass GTBs...
