Has anyone here had any success repairing the rear grill from a 328? Mine's bad enough to bother me, but not bad enough to merit replacement. The driver's side corner is dinged-up a little. The metal seems to be of the kind that would not lend itself to straightening and I'm afraid I may make it worse.

    Any thoughts?

I had mine stripped and powder coated so they look tons better...but they weren't bent...not sure how fixable they'd be.

simple to fix. it's just thin sheet metal. it responds well to a hammer and dolly. very easy to weld rust spots. a lttle bondo and some satin paint and it looks like new. mine had both top corners rusted away we just tacked in some new metal and prettied it up. looks great after 5 years.

    Thanks guys.

Rick, I think were talking about two different parts. Mine is made of some non-ferrous metal; maybe aluminum or pot metal.

Is it the muffler guard, or the grill ?
