Does anyone know if the 328 came with a green plastic container which held a foldable red triangle reflector. I found one that came with the car. ALso I know Dino's did in fact have this with them. Just wondering if it belongs with the 328 or is an old Dino part

    Thanks

I thought it only came with the European version (my parts manual said Euro only). I must be wrong; then mine's missing.

My 328 (88-1/2) came with the triangle in a black plastic container (2-part, snap together container) but I have since seen the containers in both green and transluscent white.

Never noticed it in the three that I've had (2 '89's and an '87). I'll check later though.

Our '88 328 GTS came with a safety triangle in a grey 2 piece slip together plastic container, along with a roll of spanners, screwdrivers, pliers, etc and another toolkit containing jack, emergency light, spare light bulbs, strap for removing the battery, etc.

Its quite an impressive array of tools ..... but a bit of a pain the a$$ 'cos there's not a lot of room to put them in the front luggage area and the jack etc won't fit inside the spare wheel .... neither will the safety trianle for that matter.

FWIW the car was originally sold in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Same as for Knowazark My '86 328 GTS came with a safety triangle in a grey 2 piece slip together plastic container, along with a roll of spanners, screwdrivers, pliers, etc and another toolkit containing jack, emergency light, spare light bulbs, strap for removing the battery, etc.

According to the 88 Spare Parts Catalogue, part 106879, "Triangolo di segnalazione" is "No per USA" -- so it says it's not included in the US version.

This may not be conclusive, because the catalogue, on the same page (Tav 56) lists part 40179202, "Lampada di soccorso (nel cassetto porta oggetti)" as an included emergency lamp (in the glove box), but on Tav 124, shows the same part 40179202 "Lampa di soccorso" as "No per USA - SA - J".

My (bought used) US edition '88 has neither the triangle nor the DC drop lamp, but does have the oddball connector under the dash for the lamp.

But this is only the '88 version of the Parts Catalogue.

My 328 was 1987 production and included both the triangle w/case, and the trouble light.

I think '88 was the last. The standard features in an '89 328 were optional features in the '88 or '88.5 models, hence, they were also covered in the '88
manual. But I could be wrong...

My car came with absolutely everything- an early 88 USA version. It does not have the triangle and the parts manual states the triangle was for the Euro versions. When I was judging at Cavallino, we took no deductions for the absence of a triangle.
