    I'm finding it impossible to reinstall the hinges to the body. The spring will not allow the mounting screws to come close to aligning with the tapped holes in the body. Is there a trick to doing this? The hinge can be installed with the spring removed, but it has to be in place before it's attached to the body.

    yes there is i cut a small wood block and tape it with a 2 face tape at 90 deg to the bracket so it is in the normal open position and then there is no load on the bracket you can fasten it now and remove the wood with a small tool (screwdriver )
