328 side window numbers ???

Here in Sweden anyhow some insurance companies send you these strips and a small bottle of etching liquid when you insure your car. Don´t have these on my QV but have done these on several of my other cars. The company who makes the kits for Sweden is called: SBM Stöldskydd Bil. 8 schablons and the bottle costs SEK 269:- and includes an insurance of SEK 10000:- if the car is stolen.

Similar process. The original tattoo I have on my car is sand blasted not etched. Haven't seen a direct comparison between the two must imagine they would look similar.

These are the etchings from my September 1988 328s sold new in Massachusetts.
The numbers have no coloration to the VIN.

Correct but I think Jay was answering the question about the original factory glass markings.

By the way, my 1989 328 GTS has the same logos on the glass as shown above.
