Its not the 1st time that the 328 speedometer is on, but mine seems to have a problem in the speedometer itselves. Like the well know problems mine sometimes works fine and than starts to vibrate or shoots to the very end and than stops working till I restart the 328 the next day. Mostly it is the sensor at the right rear wheel but when i knock on the speedometer when not working it reacts and often functions again.
Does anybody has had a similar problem or knows how to repair.

    thanks in advance,
    Menno

I had the similar problem and the Ferrari dealership noticed that while wiggling some wires there was a short. Sensor was replaced and corrected the problem. I looked back at my service record and the only sensors that I see replaced are the crank position sensors. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reaction. The sensor replaced i guess is the one nearby the right rear wheel. Wiggling the wires was likely done nearby this sensor and not behind the display/speedometer.

    regards,

Now 12 years after I inform that the issue was solved by a specialist who just cleaned the elctronics inside the speedometer.
But today, again 12 years after and 25K kilometer added it is doing the thing again. I wil remove the speedometer and bring it to the same specialist to check before going to look after the sensor.

Another thing to look at is the Speedometer sending unit..
Mine went bad last year and resulted in the speedometer not working..
