I have just recently purchased a 1988.5 328 and the tach won't go above about 2500rpm. Any thought's on fixing the problem? Thanks!!!

This is very common with 328's and 3.2 Mondials. The tach needs to removed and rebuilt. There is Palo Alto speedos in CA and a place in NM (I think it is called Mo-ma's) that can do it. It was some years ago I had it done, so don't have numbers handy. Someone here I'm sure does and will chime in. I can find them if no one else has them handy.

I had the same problem. If you drive it daily for about 1-2 weeks, sometime it'll come back to normal working condition. It'll become flaky again if the car is not driven for months.
