Does anyone know of a substitute replacement for this switch? The switching points on mine have drifted down, so it switches on at around 30 deg and off at 20. Meaning it runs continuously when the A/C is turned on, even when the car is moving. I've seen lots of 250v bimetallic switches that could fit, but no 12v ones; or will 12v work with the 250v switches? I seem to remember that with some of these switches the voltage was important to accelerate the switching time. Picture taken from a previous thread

Most cars have a similar function in their A/C system. Do you have an automotive A/C supplier in your area? I'd take the switch and visit them.

You have seen 250v switches? As I recall a switch only cares about current, not voltage?

It's not so easy as it may first appear to find a switch like this. Most cars use Trinary pressure switches to control electric condenser fans. Liquid line temp fan speed control doesn't seem to be the way most car A/C designs went, so spares are hard to find, well at least here in Europe.
The Trinary switch is probably the way go.
Something like this should fit. I'll have to check the current carrying capacity and dimensions,...

The rear connector appears as a line "cut in" not a proper spade-female?
    Is this aftermarket?

I used this on my Mondial 3.2. I posted a longer thread on this sensor some years ago, see if you can find it in the Mondial section, I refer the the open close specs for the switch.

The mounting clamp is not quite as tight as the OEM, but it has worked fine for many years now. I also used a dab of thermal paste from the same supplier to ensure good temperature readings.

I attached the original sensor connectors to this replacement.

This one would work great, but the company won't ship to UK and doesn't have representation in Europe...:(

These are in great abundance, which i could find a way to fit, and come with the correct switching temp etc, alternatively I could go the Trinary pressure switch route....
