My front right turn signal on my 328 is not working and without tearing into the car and tracing bad connections I thought to ask the forum if anyone has had a similar experience. Turn the signal stalk to the right and it blinks very fast - so I assume a bulb is out. I pull the bulb, looks good but I replace it anyway. I cleaned the contacts since there was some white chalky residue in the socket. Still doesnt work. Try another new bulb and it still doesnt work. Is it possible that either the relay or the signal switch has an issue? This just started happening after working great for years. Are there some other obvious areas I need to be checking? Dumb situation but I have little time to sopend in the garage and I don't want to take it to my local dealer so that they may go to school on me = $$$.

Hmmmm... white chaulky material. Corrosion. How did you clean it? Try getting some electrical parts cleaner. Also, check the wires and make sure that they are not corroded as well, and be sure the ground on the bulb unit is actually making good contact. You can check the socket with a multi-meter, to be sure you're getting voltage across the contacts. Most problems like that usually lead back to a bad ground.

Does the 4way Hazard work? If all 4 corners flash, this will narrow down your diagnostics. May just need a new flasher if your lucky.
