Now that my engine is back in, I am starting to tackle the "cheaper" things. I need to replace a front wheel bearing in a 328. I thought it was the 308 style because I read a post on here saying that. It is not of course, and instead of being $15 it is $350 - $500.
So I am shopping, and I go to www.allferrariparts.com and they reference another part - 124530. It is called Recall Front Wheel Hub kit, mondial without ABS (bearing only = 112799).
So was there a recall of some sort? I can't find and info on it. Sure would be nice to get it replaced free.
But that is a long shot, so does anyone know of a alternative to the 112799? Something that isn't $520 like ricambiamerica wants.
This bearing is also used in other cars including the early 348's, seems like time for a cheap diy replacement or someone to refurb them.
Thanks again in advance, my 328 is really coming along mechanically (just need to do wheel bearing, leaky radiator and rear brakes yet), thanks to the help of everyone here.

I've seen all the TSB's for the 328...there was never one for the front wheel bearings, sorry.

I need to replace the wheel bearings on my 328, too.
I have a couple of references for SKF bearings, but I'm not sure they are correct. If you did replace the bearings, can you please tell me where did you get them?

    Thanks,

    Rui
