    The passenger side window switch (on the driver's side door) on my '87 328 is working rarely in the up position. DOWN works just fine and the switch on the passenger door works fine.

    Can these switches be taken apart to clean the contacts? I need to take the driver's side door panel off for some other work and would tackle it then, if it is doable.

    I need some experts to chime in.....

    Ive had the same problem with mine. I believe they can be taken apart and cleaned. I ended up just replacing mine . They are on Ebay, and they are not expensive. You can also call Ferr Parts, they can source one for you. 916 974 1939 . If all this does not work, PM me, maybe I can help you out.

    Yes you can take them apart very easy and clean the contacts the just come out from the armrest, new ones are $60.00 just watch out for the left or right symbol on the switch

    if the passenger window is a problem. do not underestimate the impact of the driver-side passenger-side-switch. The passenger switch needs a proper driverside passenger switch as well so clean both.
