that is crazy, but reading the description of the interior and ext makes you wonder why that's even necess, when it only had less than 600 miles you have to fiigure it had over a 100 by the time it got here. I drove my car more than 400 this MONTH !

Starting bid at $63k. That is some sick money for that car. I would imagine it would need all new everything. Hoses, belts, tires, brakes, tanks cleaned out, etc.

Those 328's have been for sale for as long as I can remember. And my feeling is that they'll stay that way. What a shame!

It only needs all those items if you are ever going to drive it. It could sit another 15 years and let the next generation rebuild the car. You guys all think these cars are going to be driven. Maybe someone will buy it to look good along with several other cars that go nowhere. I could not have an exotic that just sits around, but it might be just what someone else is looking for.

I saw the car personnaly while at FCI in Greensboro. It is literally "as new" in it's exterior/interior condition. Like a time capsule, really.

I have to agree, the attraction of the car is the low miles...to drive it would devalue it. This car will likely stay a "garage queen" and just be trailered to shows now and them to pick up a trophy or two.

Well I won the auction but the reserve price was not met. Wonder if they'll sell it to me for that price?

Very low mileage 328s are fairly common. In the late 80's many people subscribed to the theory that the values of the final cars built while Enzo Ferrari was alive would soar after he died. As a result, many were bought as "investments" and stored. The expected appreciation never occurred and the cars began to come to market years later when people chose to cut their losses. Whether or not such low mileage cars are a good buy today is open to a lot of conjecture. The previous owner of my 328 bought the car in 2000 with less than 500 miles on it. It proceeded to need more than $10,000 worth of fixing over the next year. I bought it in 2001, with just under 5000 miles. Currently, the car has been driven about 13,000 miles and has been fairly reliable. I suspect that the buyer of this car will be have to pay a fair amount of money, at least initially, to recondition this 328, if he or she intends to drive it in the manner for which it was originally intended.

Off topic here, but I just saw on your website that you offer 1/8" spacers that you say "are needed to install the Brembo GT Kit on Stock Ferrari 16" wheels". FYI, the Brembo GT kit installs directly on a Ferrari 308 with stock 16" wheels without any spacers. They say so on their website, and I can vouch for it from my own personal experience.

Why are there so many people who negatively comment on low milage cars. For every bash about suspicious odometers, hoses that will need replacment, leaks or other issues that will come up on a low milage car there is a logical reply.
Unplugged odometers are the easist to identify if you have done your homework on what to look for. Wrench marks on the nut, worn clutch pedal, stone chips(repaint),worn tires(ask to view the originals),worn interiors, dirty engine, dirty undercarriage.Any comment about about a low milage car without being seen in extremely unfair.
You may have to replace the hoses on a low milage car. If you had used the car you could have to replace them anyway or most likely with the material they have been using for the last 20 years it is unlikely they will have to be replaced either way. If it leaks then replace it. Not a big deal.
Oil leaks also happen wether you use it or not. If you use the car a lot you would never know because during regular maintenance the seals are replaced when you are working in a particular area.
I dont hear the people with high milage cars complaining about accelerated service cost due to milage so why would anyone who paid a premium for a garage queen be concerned about fixing a leak or a few hoses. Giving advice is one thing but acting like low milage cars are a liability is not correct. I have seen service records on 328's from day one and guess what, when new they were going in for minor problems and adjustments frequently. So expect the same if it was stored for 15 years then serviced and driven. I have yet to see a significant difference from low to high milage cars.

There was a low-mileage 328 GTS here in San Jose at "Showroom Cars." IIRC, it had just over 1000 miles on the clock. I got to talking to one of the salemen about it...he begins to tell me how perfect of a car it is, yadda yadda yadda, "It's never even been washed!" he says. First off, *wrong*. Second, the paint looked as though it HAD been washed - just without water. A dry rag, dust, and some good elbow grease would surely leave the swirlmarks that this little baby was graced with.

I finally decide to do the unthinkable, and ask his price. "What's the asking price," I say?

Saleshole responds, "It's not the asking price - IT IS the price, and it's seventy five.....*thousand*."

I couldn't help but chuckle, not at the price (which was also laughable), but at his sheer arrogance. Needless to say, I left and I don't think I'll ever be setting foot in that place again. What a joke...
