    Well, after my fiasco at FoSV, I did what I should have done in the beginning and when it broke down again I had it towed to Brian Crall. He confirmed that the battery was good. The alternator was perfect as well. He figured it was the aftermarket alarm system (which is what was connected to the battery in the picture I posted).

    He uninstalled (completely removed, actually) the alarm system and it started right up. He also installed "a couple relays." Not sure what that is. Anyway, I picked up the car on the way home from work and had a lovely drive back home.

    I go out this morning for a spin on my day off, and once again, it cranks but doesn't turn over. I even tried jumping it (figuring the additional juice might do the trick), but no luck. I disconnected the battery, waited a minute, and tried again.

    No luck.

    I'm sure it's something simple, but right now I don't even want to look at the car.

    What do you mean by "it cranks but doesn't turn over" ? Do you mean the engine is spinning on the starter but just not firing? Or do you mean the thing is not cranking/spinning at all?

    If its the former than I would suggest you have an ignition problem & with the whole thing being dead I would look at the crank sensors - there are 2 of them on a 328.

    If it is the latter then I would still be looking at your connections (bullet connector under the car) and connections at the starter. Maybe the starter is going bad.

    I had same problem reached behind ignition switch at 10-11 o'clock and pinched spade connector with key in on position and fired up ,crimped it and that fixed it

    Intermittent fuse/relay panel printed circuit board. Boy am I glad, much as I like the 328 bumpers, that I've got a 308 with hard wiring.

    I brought it back to Brian and he got it running good as new. Can't remember the fix anymore, but all I know is that it works.

    Now if I can ever get the car back from a windshield replacement... (been 2 months)
