Hi Looking for feedback on this conversion and/or alternatives. 1. How easy was it to fit and calibrate. 2. Difference in performance, was any bhp found or is it just the reliability. 3. Has it been a worthwhile update. Thanks
1. How easy was it to fit and calibrate. Easy and pretty straight forward 2. Difference in performance, was any bhp found or is it just the reliability. Had mine installed for more reliability. 3. Has it been a worthwhile update. For me personally it has been worth every penny, also I chose the TEC GT, which has the additional options to manage the EFI which is in the process of being completed.
Hi Very interested to follow your installation. Confused a bit, the spec says the TEC-GT only supports 6 injectors where as the TEC-3R supports 8 injectors ? In regard to fitting items like... i) throttle position sensor ii) MAP sensor iii) intake air temp sensor Whats your plan of attack ?
Hi Chris, Sorry, I chose not to publish the progress... once complete I will ask the Master Technician to publish the completed project. Happy New Year.... Cheers Rhett
I had my XDI-2 put on on as a precursor to installing a supercharger. My mechanic said it was pretty straight forward and only required one phone call to Nick at www.NicksForzaFerrari.com to get it all working properly once installed. It's made fine-tuning the engine on the dyno possible in ways the stock ignition couldn't. I did get stranded by it once though about 5 miles from home... the bracket holding the crank position sensor came loose just enough that the engine wouldn't run. This was just a few months after install, and it was a quick fix.... it's been fine for the 4 years I've had it since then.
Brief hijack--I'm selling my new, never-installed XDI system on FerrariAds. Bought it for my 77 308, never used it, new-in-box, if anybody here may be interested. All parts included. Greg
