Bertrand, and myself, and a few others, have been collecting serial numbers and date of production for 328s for about the last 15 years or so.
First 328 officially produced in Sept. 1987 is #74043; first car officially produced in Oct. 1987 is 74687.

We do not even know for sure if there were indeed cars produced specifically for South Africa, or if these were only UK production cars diverged from the U.K market? Tony Willis should know.
What is your car's full 17 digit position VIN?

(By the way, I know Cyprus "quite well", shall we say: been there about 50 times in the last 15 years...)

As my friend Bruno already said we don't know so much about South Africa 328 and don't think specs are different with UK car.
Of course speedometer and gauge do not have same unit of value but may be and propably that the only difference ?

For instance how many 328 were delivered new to South Africa ? Around 10, 15 or 20 ? Did the car were delivered from the factory in Maranello or from UK through Maranello Concessionaires ?
Many UK 328 car had COMPLETE history but I still looking early history of most of RHD 328 delivered outside UK and not sure to know how many they are
