    I am having problems with my oil pressure and have eliminated many items. The oil pump is the next thing to check. I was told I could remove the oil pump by removing the bottom of the oil pan (which I have done before) and the front cover while the engine was still in the car.

    Can anyone verify this?

    It's not worth the struggle trying to remove the front cover in situ, far easier to remove the engine and make life easy.

    What sort of problems are you having with the oil pressure, what sort of mileage has the car done?
