Has anyone repaired a 330 GTC horn button? The black surround piece on my horn button is cracked and I would like to replace it. I have a new surround piece but I am concerned that removing the cracked black piced may damage the yellow background or the cavallino on the yellow insert.

Any ideas in the risk of removing the cracked piece? See pictures.

I hope you are able to repair this. Are those parts available?

Exact same thing happened to my GTC horn button. I got it apart, but the repro button I bought would not accommodate the original yellow center. I am not very pleased with the graphics quality of the repro, and hope the new production Tom mentions is better.

Michael, How did you get the yellow insert out of the horn button without damage? I need to do this to fix my horn button. I have a correct black surround piece that I bought from Dennis McCann.

I have seen the 330 GTC horn button replacement that Goeff Olhand had at Cavallino. It looked very nice. The graphics and fiinish looked like the original button with the exception it looked like a one piece unit instead of two pieces (yellow insert and black surround). Cost $$$

Well, when the black part broke clean in two, it was pretty easy to remove the yellow center!

Mine will be a 2 piece horn button

It will not be inexpensive. But less than the ones Bob Smith made (Partsource)
