I like the original color back on the car, it was red, then grey, and now back to the light green. Should have the straight- eared knock offs with those wheels though instead of the curved. Looks like a great car.
I like the heck out of it. I'm not a perfectionist about such things as color. But I love the period color. It wears it well. Having a well sorted car is attractive too. Especially one as useable as that. When I get the money though, make mine a 365.
Looks like a shifter knob from a 365. Mine doesn't look like that, but it's a '66 (8995). Did they change styles? Like the period correct color on this car, I've yet to decide if I like the Mosport Green of my '66 'Vette, tho' it too is absolutely correct. s
I can never understand why the owners of an original looking car would fit a modern radio and speakers. What an eye sore. Finding a period radio with modern electrics is easy and not expensive. No excuse in my book. There again who needs a radio in V12 anyway. ?
dealership list price $750k.......letting "market speak" via e-bay "risky"....will this re-adjust pricing?
A few funky things that bug me on a $700k car: Drivers mirror location, ugly rear upholstery, right side wiper arm, common radiator cap, modern radio and speakers, Pininfarina badge color. I know these are small things but why not be picky? I too find the color attractive. Tom, 11157
For the price, there should be far fewer little details and mistakes to repair, some of which, to be done correctly, will end up costing quite a few thousand bux. BTW; what is the odd little black knob to the left of the radio?
I would wager that it's for a power antenna. One could ask Tom to replace the radio with a nicely modernized Becker unit incorporating an iPod adapter in the glovebox. Maybe replace the speakers and clean-up the grilles while doing. Possibly go through the trouble of replacing the Stant cap, badges and oil filters if it bothered somebody so much... All could be negotiated in the purchase price, of course, and Tom would be more than happy to accommodate. Personally, I would just drive the hell out of that car as-is.
I would guess the car is now on eBay, after having been advertised for some time, because it isn't so easy to find interested parties for a decent (but by no means exceptional) 330 GTC in the $750,000 range. Michael
Only made $300,000 I think all this one is worth. David http://www.512bbi.com http://www.gtb4.com http://www.250gtl.com
I would expect it to go for a good bit more than that off of EBAY. My experience with F-car sales on the bay has been that it places the car in front of world wide potential buyers-and the deal is worked out privately.
