Can anyone tell me whether 330 P4 had been made in 1:18, if so which manufacturer?
I'm about 90% sure someone made a 1:18 330p4 years ago i remember seeing in an exoticar catalog about 5 or 6 years ago im not sure who it was made by though.
Hi... Years ago I had a "Jouef"model in 1/18th scale of the 330P4 spider, but I think it could be difficult to find today! I have also seen some very similar models made by "Eagle race" (Both as a spider and a berlinetta) but I don't know wheter they are still in production! Ebay could be the place to find a good preowned example of one of these!!! Good luck in your search! Best regards Carsten
This is a vintage early 1970's plastic model made by Pocher. http://www.************.com/index.html?target=p_949.html&lang=en-us Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Jouef & Eagles Race (same car , changed their name) cars are the only P4s out there . Prices vary , but quality wise, its very poor compared to the diecast cars today.
Maybe so, but Tina is correct. There are six or more different race liveries in addition to the street version... a blue/white NART version a green one for Piper UK Maranello Concessionaires, red with blue nose Scuderia Fillipinetti, red with white stripe I have a #23 Spyder, IIRC that's Daytona..... and here's a yellow one, that's Francorchamps...... That's all the ones I have at 1:18.............they were various prices, from 35 - $65USD when new.......
oops, missed one...yellow stripe over red #24...who's that team, Tina??? Must be a European one, 'cuz I dunno.....Napolis would know......
There's several small places here that may still have a new one....they turn up from time to time in the gypsy markets.... Hey! I think some of these are REALLY 412Ps!!!!!!! LOL!
The 1/18 Ferrari P4's have been out of production for many years now and have become very difficult to find. Here a picture of my Jouef P4 that I have in my collection. Ferrari P4
So if I see one at the local Flea Market I should bag it??? There are several shops there specializing in die casts and one that does Owner's Manuals and Service books.......that cat said he had a bunch of "foreign car stuff"...I urged him to shake it out, for Ferrari items....never heard back...... I still see the Joeff P4s........sometimes.
We have few of them in stock at this time. Rita www.cavallinomodels.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think these are nice models for the price, I think the earlier comment was matbe comparing them to Exoto or something..... Mine are all behind glass...nice enough, to the casual observer...most of them walk into the room and say..... "Wow!!..........*speechless* There's one posted...put some more pics on the thread here....
I have a red Jouef with number 224 sitting right here in my office. I bought it at a local hobby shop about 2 years ago and it was about $40.
I wouldn't pay more then $50 for one(and thats only because they are rare), the detail/quality (compared to a $20 Maisto of today) just isn't there . The door hinges are fragile and the decals start to peel after awhile.
I know it will be smaller than what you desire but this might be nice too - Scaletrix 330P3 slot car (1/32) - it will be nicely detailed but of course the engine will not be visible
In that same smaller scale of 1/32 you missed out on this set of slotcars, including the display. Sold out now and VERY hard to get. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow! That would have been a great set... I was actually referring to a new single car from Carrera (not Scaletrix my bad) http://www.onlytrains.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CC&Product_Code=C20206&Category_Code=B05A
At lunch today I went to a local hobby shop. They have an Eagle Race 330P4. That's the good news. The bad news is, it's in the 67 Spa Francorchamps colors. It's GREEN! With white #9. The other good news is, it's only $20. I didn't buy it, if anyone is interested, let me know. They also had a silver Jouef 250 GT SWB.
Just found a couple on eBay and both are Jouef so will see how their quality are. Thanks for all the advice guys. Now I think I need the high end 1:43 ones BBR or MR quality.
The Joeuf one's (like the one Cavallino posted) regularly go for about $50.00 on ebay. Be patient & you can get one.....
