I recently bought a set of gaskets for my 330 gtc rebuild and found the head gaskets were from Victor (USA). Has anyone used these? Do I throw them away and use something else? Please advise and thanks, Vince

I do not know about the gaskets you have but the only way to make sure of no water leaks when using the new type Elring head gasket is to deck the liners flat to the block.

I thought the liners were supposed to be proud of the block, 3-4 thousandths, and if they weren't that's when you get leakage problems? Does the "new" Elring gaskets somehow alleviate that issue? Thanks, Vince

Don't give the guy advise that screws his engine!!!!

Liners should always be 0.08-0.10 mm above deck with Ferrari engines and Elring headgaskets.

"screws his engine" is a bit harsh.

Just giving advice based on bitter experience, otherwise I would keep my mouth shut.

The original question I need advice on is essentially, should the Victor gasket be replaced with something else such as the Elring? Is the Elring the best? Thanks for all the input! V

Sorry, no experience with the Victor gasket.
