    Hi All!

    I am rebuilding a 330GTC transaxle gearbox.
I am seeking information such as bolt torque settings and more particularly the torque setting of the main conical bearing of the main shaft.
A workshop manual would of course be the best.

All bearings, gaskets and synchros are new.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Romano give the guy a break. You bust every ones ass about profiles but there is really no compulsion to do it other than in your opinion.
If you need to know just PM him

    Sorry about that
I am on so many forums and have been registred here for so long that I forgot I never introduced myself.

When you ask about the torque on the main shaft, are you asking about the breakaway torque for preload on the bearings or torque for the nut on the end of the shaft?

There are reprints of the shop manual available and you should have one.

    Hi thanks for your answer
All information are welcome. I could not find anything on this gearbox so we rebuilt and cleaned everything and changed all bearings and synchros but have been unable to do all the "fine tuning" such as bearing preload.

Thanks. I found a cheaper one from books4cars.
I wonder why we can freely find so many workshop manuals (even for Ferrari) scanned online and some other as this one are that expensive...

I think even in real life when you ask someone, say not even hello and then wonder why you not get an answer. you think such handling is ok? here in the ferrarichat forum there are so many people who have a lot of knowledge and a lot of experience and they pass on their knowledge for nothing.
so in my eyes it's a matter of course to introduce yourself and fill out your profile so that those who are helpful (I'm one of them) are also respected a little.
I not need to know. but those how not filled out their profile or introduced themself a little I put on my ignore list so I can not see if they write and ask for some help and so not have to care about.
It may be that I'm old-fashioned, but I have my principles from which I won't deviate much and that's how I've mastered my life so far (69 years).

also "sebwoute" has written a little what he is doing but I still not knew his real name until I had a look at his homepage. looks good :)

Romano, common courtesy is no longer very common and most people participating in these forums, i.e. their virtual reality, don’t seem to care or even think about it any more.
Another race to the bottom in today’s world.
