    hello guys

    i am new at this so if something is wrong please forgive me
    i am planning to detail a Mattel 1/18 333sp and convert it to chassis 005 94 in pilot colors major mods are to front cowl/side pods and rear cowl but i want to detail all the chassis/engine and transmission areas can anyone help with reference/dimensions/drawings on those areas or anything else related to 333,s i was lucky enough to see them race at le mans and several isrs races and have been hooked ever since my hope is to get enough material to scratch build one in 1/12 scale
    any help would be greatly appreciated

    There is a good photo-etch kit for the 333sp available from tremonia.org which also turns up on Ebay.
    You know about the decals from pattosplace.com?

    Someone on one of the model forums cut the nose off a Hot Wheels 333sp and found that there are radiators under the nose. Sorry I can't recall which site is was on.

    thanks guys
    just shows how much info is about i had a look about on the net for 333 related info but didnt find as much as that some very useful shots
    I understand the engine is 4 liter a version of the f50 unit and that may be derived from a 1990 f1 engine if thats so can someone confirm as it may be another avenue to investigate

    The engine was 4.7 liters originally, they shortened the stroke to get down to IMSA's 4.0 liter spec. IMSA ignored the 5 valve heads. According to an article in "Forza"#66 December 2005 the engine is a Tipo 130E.
